WOMAP USA · English + Spanish

Turn brand attention into participation.

Below-the-line marketing, or BTL, focuses on direct, targeted interactions rather than relying only on broad-reach advertising. WOMAP connects brand activation concepts with the practical details that let people participate: the invitation, the experience, the offer and the next conversation.

From idea to interaction

Brand activation & BTL experiences

Creative strategy and operational detail belong in the same brief. Here is the planning framework we recommend.

Define the participation mechanic

Give the visitor one understandable task: test a product, complete a challenge, explore a collaboration or speak with a specialist. Build the activity around the product benefit rather than an unrelated spectacle. A small, well-run interaction can be more useful than a crowded stand.

Prepare the people behind the brand

Write an ambassador brief covering product facts, approved claims, questions to ask and escalation rules. Plan English and Spanish interactions where the audience calls for them, with language preference captured rather than assumed. Set boundaries for questions that need a brand specialist.

Match the location to the activity

A retail activation, private courtyard and stadium hospitality space have different permission paths. Do not assume a street-team concept is permitted on any public sidewalk. Confirm the landowner, municipality, venue rights and distribution rules before committing creative or staffing.

Qualify without slowing the experience

Ask for only the information needed for a useful next step. Distinguish participation from permission to receive marketing. For business audiences, record the company, project need, timing and preferred contact channel so the sales handoff has context, not just a list of names.

A better first conversation

What to put in your brief.

Before we begin

Practical answers.

Is BTL the same as brand activation?

They overlap, but are not identical. BTL describes targeted direct-marketing approaches; brand activation describes an experience designed to encourage people to engage with a brand. A sampling program or retail experience can be both.

Can an activation include AI-assisted follow-up?

Yes, the website concierge can help visitors share a brief or request a call. The campaign plan should define consent, lead routing and when a person needs to take over. Specific integrations are scoped separately.

Do you claim offices in every campaign market?

No. The city guides are planning resources for potential projects, not a directory of local WOMAP offices. Location, staffing and delivery scope are confirmed before engagement.
